Friday, February 13th-Valentine's Day Coffee House 6:00pm-9:00pm
Come join us from 6pm-9pm as we celebrate Valentine's Day with live music, poetry reading, coffee, tea, and other beverages and snacks. All ages are welcome! If you are interested in performing music or reading poetry at the event, please contact steve.pozzato@gmail.com.
Saturday, February 28th-Light Up the Night and Sweeten the Soul! 4:00pm-6:00pm
Enjoy our Dessert Tasting Buffet & Illuminate East Haddam’s Meetinghouse! "Let your light shine: write a message of hope, a dream, or a prayer on a luminary to honor and inspire.” Purchasing a Luminary serves as your ticket to the Dessert Buffet and automatically enters you into a drawing for a $500 Shagbark Gift Card and other prizes.

Preorder bags at firstchurchehct.org/community-events, or buy them at the door. Proceeds will be utilized to establish First Church CARES, a fund to assist our church family during critical illness or major health issues. Drawing to be held following a blessing of the luminary bags at 6:00pm You don’t have to be present at the time of the drawing to win.
Lenten Services
All are welcome anytime at First Church with services held on Sunday morning at 10am! If you wish to join us to observe the Lenten season, please see the following list of special services. The doors will be open to all people...come on in!
Wednesday, February 18th-Ash Wednesday
The First Church sanctuary will be open to all from 4pm-7pm on Ash Wednesday for all those wishing to receive Ashes, prayers, or wish for comfort and quiet respite in the First Church sanctuary. There will not be a formal service held, come on in!
Sunday, March 29th-Palm Sunday Service
Join First Church as we observe Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, with a Palm Sunday Service led by Steve Pozzato (MID), Lay Minister, at 10am in the sanctuary.
Thursday, April 2nd-Maundy Thursday Service
First Church will observe Maundy Thursday, led by Steve Pozzato (MID), Lay Minister, with a special service taking place at 7pm.
Friday, April 3rd-Good Friday Cross Walk Stop
Come join us at First Church as a part of the East Haddam Cross Walk! Walk or drive over to First Church for a special reading and message by Steve Pozzato (MID), Lay Minister. Water and restroom access provided to all!
Sunday, April 5-Easter Sunday Service
Easter Sunday Service, led by Steve Pozzato (MID), Lay Minister, will take place at 10am. Come celebrate the Resurrection of the Christ at First Church. He Is Risen!
